Meetups
Mad Meetup Monday We hold an online meetup on the second Monday of each month (except August) from 18:00 to 19:30, where you can join others for conversation and collaboration. Each meetup will start with a question prompt to get the chat started. Mad Meetup Monday will take place on the following dates:
- 13 July
- 14 September
- 12 October
- 9 November
- 14 December
Edinburgh meetup We also hold an in-person meetup in Edinburgh every month on a Tuesday evening. Our next in person meetup will take place on Tuesday 21 July from 6pm to 8pm in the back room at the Regent Bar on Montrose Terrace in Abbeyhill.
Events
We will be holding two free creative workshops in Edinburgh to explore and develop submission ideas for The Book of Mad Insight (working title) which will be published in September 2027.
We are looking for original, previously-unpublished pieces of writing and artwork by people with living or lived experience of madness. Details can be found in this Call for Submissions:
The creative workshops will take place on:
Saturday 25 July from 12pm to 4pm and Saturday 22 August from 12pm to 4pm
at Edinburgh Student Housing Cooperative in Bruntsfield.
